Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician (CEDC-MH)

Member of the Australian Institute of Psychologists Inc (AAPi)

Medicare Provider Number: 5850383J

Hi, I’m Aimee, your friendly neighbourhood Clinical Psychologist. I have a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours and a PhD in Clinical Psychology, alongside advanced training in attachment-focused dynamic psychotherapy, relational psychodynamic therapy, and Affect State Therapy (the good stuff that gets to the heart of things and breaks you down before rebuilding you). I’m a Cancer but according to my patients I give “big Leo energy” so do with that what you will! My work is grounded in contemporary psychodynamic thinking, the kind of therapy that gently and courageously explores long-standing patterns, often rooted in early relationships, that continue to shape how we relate to ourselves and others today.

While I’m an experienced and skilled clinician, I don’t believe humans neatly fit into manuals. I draw on evidence-based strategies and structured interventions when helpful, but I believe that meaningful change most often occurs through the relational work, the deeper exploration of patterns, defences, attachment dynamics, and the ways we learned to survive. Therapy with me is thoughtful, attuned, and collaborative, with space for both insight and skill-building. I am highly experienced in the treatment of eating disorders and women’s mental health. I am a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician (CEDC-MH), meaning I have been formally recognised as meeting the national standard of training and competence in eating disorder treatment. In addition to private practice, I work as a Senior Psychologist in a hospital setting where I facilitate group therapy programs for eating disorders.

Beyond clinical work, I have a solid background in supervising and training junior psychologists, both provisionals and registrars. I am passionate about developing reflective, relationally-minded clinicians and supporting the next generation of psychologists. I have also presented at professional conferences and contributed to publications within the eating disorder literature.

I work primarily with women across the lifespan, supporting those navigating recovery, motherhood, fertility challenges, pregnancy, burnout, identity shifts, and the invisible emotional labour of “holding it all together.” My work often focuses on patterns that have existed for much of a person’s life, self-criticism, over-responsibility, perfectionism, emotional inhibition, and how these patterns may once have protected you, but now keep you stuck.

On a more human note, I’m currently in the trenches of life with a young baby, surviving on limited sleep and always keeping a romantasy book within reach (if I can stay awake long enough to read it). I believe therapy should feel safe, real, and deeply human, a space where we can explore the messy and meaningful parts of life with warmth, honesty, and a healthy dose of dark humour.

If you’re looking for support that is psychodynamically informed, attachment-focused, HAES-aligned, and grounded in both depth and evidence, I’d love to connect.

Areas of Interest:

  • Psychodynamic and Attachment-Focused Therapy

  • HAES-aligned, trauma-informed and neuroaffirming care

  • Eating Disorders- Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder and ARFID (adolescents and adults)

  • Women’s Mental Health

  • Perinatal and Antenatal Support

  • Fertility Difficulties, PCOS, Endometriosis, Adenomyosis

  • Mood Disorders

  • Perfectionism and Self-Criticism

  • Affect State Therapy

  • Relational Psychodynamic Therapy

Aimee works on Thursdays and Monday mornings (from 13th April).

Aimee sees adolescents (14+) and adult clients.

tenneile manenti

Psychologist

Hi, I’m Tenneile. I’m a Registered Psychologist with more than a decade of experience supporting women through trauma, health challenges, workplace stress, and the complex transitions that shape our lives. My area of focus is working with women navigating injury or illness, WorkCover and return-to-work pathways, first responders, professional women, working mothers, and women experiencing midlife and perimenopausal changes. I support those impacted by stress, burnout, mood changes, anxiety, and the emotional load alongside challenges such as bullying, conflict, or recovery from illness or injury.

My therapeutic approach blends evidence-based therapies including ACT, CBT, trauma-informed care, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), alongside positive psychology models (strengths-based, solution-focused, mindset coaching) to offer a warm, human-first connection with practical strategies you can apply outside the therapy room. EMDR is particularly helpful for processing traumatic events, workplace incidents, medical trauma, birth trauma, unresolved past experiences, and the lingering emotional impact of stressful life events that feel “stuck” in the nervous system. Clients often describe me as grounding, easy to talk to, and deeply supportive, particularly when life or work has left them overwhelmed, unseen, or emotionally exhausted.

My passion comes from lived experience too, returning to full-time work after having two boys, stepping into demanding leadership roles, supporting my husband through workplace injury, caring for ageing parents, and doing my best to raise good, kind humans, have deepened my empathy and strengthened my commitment to helping women through life’s vulnerable, messy, and transformative chapters.

I’m also thrilled to be back home in Queensland (and proud to have won State of Origin in a household divided by my NSW-born husband!). My family is my world, and they remind me daily why supporting women matters.

In therapy, there’s no judgement, just honest conversations, practical support, and space to breathe. If you’re seeking clarity, steadiness, or a way forward after something difficult, I’d be honoured to walk beside you.

Hi, I'm Madeleine, a generally registered Psychologist with previous experience working with youth and adults. My qualifications include a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) and a Masters of Professional Psychology. I have a particular passion for supporting neurodivergent women and teens, and focus on creating a space that is accepting and safe for all. I strive to help all my clients to develop a deeper understanding of who they are, what they value and how to live the lives they aspire towards.

When I'm not dancing in my kitchen or curling up with a book, I'm working with my clients to help them identify patterns of behaviour that are leaving them burnt out and disconnected. I take a client-centred approach and apply evidence-based intervention, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) or Attachment theory, to guide my clients to build skills, process their experiences and become confident navigators of their own lives.

I bring an encouraging and compassionate voice to your journey, and believe deeply in the power of togetherness, how inviting someone to walk and work with you can make all the difference. I strive to help my clients meaningfully progress towards their goals and to help them uncover the confidence, clarity and calm they had within them all along.

Areas of Interest:

  • Exploring Neurodivergence (recent diagnosis, unmasking, understanding unique needs and accommodations)

  • Anxiety (Social anxiety, General anxiety, separation anxiety, panic attacks, and phobias etc)

Gold Coast Psychologist Hazel Turner

Clinical Psychology Registrar

Hi, I’m Hazel and I'm a Clinical Psychology Registrar with a particular passion for supporting neurodivergent women and adolescent girls, as well as individuals experiencing anxiety-related difficulties. I have lived experience of neurodivergence, alongside additional training in neuro-affirming practice, which helps me bring both personal understanding and clinical expertise to the work.

I offer a warm, neuro-affirming space where we can make sense of what’s been going on, build practical strategies that are tailored to you and your personal goals, and move toward a life that feels more manageable, authentic, and sustainable.

Alongside neurodivergence, I have a strong interest in the complexities that often accompany it including anxiety, mood difficulties, trauma experiences, emotional dysregulation, and burnout. I also enjoy working with anxiety disorders in all their forms, from chronic worry and panic to social anxiety, phobias, and obsessive compulsive presentations.
