Honouring Wisdom, Legacy, and Life’s Meaning…..

Psychology support exclusively for girls (12+) and women on the Gold Coast

This stage for her is often marked by adjusting to retirement, changes in physical health and shifting routines. There is also a deepening sense of reflection and a strong desire to make sense of it all, to understand what has been meaningful and what kind of legacy she will leave behind. Life starts to slow down in some ways, and brings opportunities to embrace grandparenting, mentor younger generations or reconnect with spiritual or creative pursuits. But it can also bring her significant emotional challenges: the loss of friends or a partner, loneliness, and worry about health or cognitive decline. Therapy in this season is about honoring her whole journey, fostering dignity, and integrating the past with the present, and continuing to live with purpose, presence, and meaning.

Common stressors and concerns we work with:

  • Loss of roles

  • Mortality awareness

  • Loneliness and bereavement

  • Chronic illness or mobility limitations

  • Cognitive decline

  • Financial and housing concerns

  • Fear of dependence

  • Mental health concerns e.g. anxiety, depression, OCD, insomnia, grief, trauma, eating disorders, body image, self-esteem, perfectionism, emotion regulation and distress tolerance, chronic pain and/or health conditions, stress and burnout.
