Psychological Support for breast cancer

A breast cancer diagnosis can bring changes that reach far beyond your physical health.

From the uncertainty of diagnosis and treatment to adjusting to changes in your body, relationships, work and everyday life, there can be a lot to process.

At 4Women Psychology, we provide psychological support for women navigating breast cancer, during treatment and beyond..

Our Approach

There is no "right" way to feel after a breast cancer diagnosis.

You might feel frightened or overwhelmed. You might find yourself constantly thinking about cancer, or you may want to put it out of your mind completely. You might be coping well most of the time but find certain appointments, scans or conversations particularly difficult.

Therapy isn't about telling you to "stay positive."

Our psychologists provide a supportive space where difficult thoughts and emotions can be talked about openly, without judgement or pressure to feel a particular way.

Support is tailored to you and may draw on evidence-based psychological approaches to help with anxiety, uncertainty, adjustment, self-compassion, emotional regulation and reconnecting with the parts of life that matter to you.

Psychological support can provide a space to make sense of what you're experiencing and develop ways of managing the uncertainty and changes that cancer can bring.
